Celebrate Summer with a Pineapple Coconut Mangonada!

Summer time is here and that means it's the perfect time to take your tastebuds on an epic adventure!

I combined all of my favorite summer drink notes into a refreshing cocktail! This drink will transport you to the beach instantly! ( Hey Alexa, play Ocean Sounds!)

My husband loves a little spice and kick in his cocktails, but I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to heat in my drinks! So I've been on the hunt for a while for the perfect amount of spice to add to my favorite tropical cocktail! When I heard Torani was coming out with the Mangonada, I knew this was going to be a winner.

This flavor combines the sweet, juicy taste of ripe mango with the complexity and warm spice of chamoy, the beloved Mexican condiment made from pickled fruit and chili peppers, to create the ultimate refreshment experience. I love adding this to a sweeter drink , because just the right amount of warmth comes through at the end and let me tell you, it's a lovely surprise!

I use so many different syrups from Torani and love them all. It is super important to me that their Syrups are made with no artificial preservatives, no artificial flavors, GMO-free and colors from natural sources.

This is a great option to have if you are having friends over, or honestly are just going to have a chill night relaxing on your front porch! There's also lots of other fun options you can do with this recipe, like add coconut milk to make it into a more creamy Piña Colada version. You could even blend it and make it a frozen drink. Lastly, if you want to forgo the alcohol, this makes a tasty mocktail!


Makes one cocktail.

  • 3 oz of pineapple orange juice

  • 3 oz of coconut rum (or regular rum)

  • 1/2 freshly squeezed lime juice

  • orange, lime, pineapple slices for garnish

  • optional edible florals

  • grenadine splash at the end for that fun color!

  • coconut sugar for the rim of the cup


-Fill your shaker with ice. Add coconut rum, Pineapple/Orange Juice, and Torani Puremade Mangonada Syrup. Shake well to combine and chill.

-Use orange or lime slice to coat rim of your glass, and then dip the rim in your coconut sugar to coat the rim of your glass.

-Pour liquid from shaker over ice into a cocktail glass.

-Add grenadine by pouring slowly over top, or pour over the back of a spoon slowly.

-Squeeze in your fresh lime juice, and Add your cocktail pic with orange + lime or pineapple.
